Germany intercepted audio of Russian soldiers discussing Bucha killings: Report

German intelligence intercepted Russian military radio messages discussing the killing of civilians in Bucha, according to a report on Thursday.

The German Federal Intelligence Service presented its findings to the German Bundestag on Wednesday, according to a report in German news magazine Der Spiegel.

In one of the messages, a soldier discussed shooting a person riding a bicycle in Bucha, according to the report. At least one body photographed in Bucha after its liberation is of a person lying next to a bicycle.

The location origin of some of the audio is harder to determine, according to the report, suggesting that atrocities against civilians occurred in other Ukrainian cities as well.

‘PLANNED GENOCIDE’: 410 BODIES FOUND IN OUTSKIRTS OF KYIV SO FAR

Ukrainian authorities discovered the bodies of more than 300 civilians in the recently liberated town of Bucha, 23 miles northwest of Kyiv. Some bodies were found buried in mass graves, and others were found lying in the street. Ukrainian officials have called the killings a war crime and genocide. Bucha had been occupied by Russian forces for more than a month since the Feb. 24 invasion began.

Russia has denied that President Vladimir Putin’s troops killed civilians in Bucha, accusing Ukraine and Western media outlets of staging scenes of civilian deaths.
