Wisconsin Republican Rep. Sean Duffy and his wife, Fox contributor Rachel-Campos Duffy, are decidedly not taking liberal Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s advice to zip it up and forgo having children because it might promote global warming.
Instead, they have announced that they are having their ninth child.
“We’ll take AOC’s carbon footprint for ourselves,” said Rachel on Duffy’s regular podcast.
In fact, the coming child might even be named after an environmental quirk. “Should we call it ‘Polar Vortex baby?’ It was a long, cold winter in Wisconsin and I have a cute husband,” she said. “What can I do?”
God isn’t done with our family yet! Baby number nine coming to the crew this fall! @RCamposDuffy said it best – we aren’t crazy, we are just full of hope for America’s future! ?? pic.twitter.com/aTzGHUnOgC

With so many children, Duffy joked on his podcast that “I’m hearing a lot of references to baseball teams.” In fact, his parents had even more children, 11.

While she joined the taping of the podcast, which the former competitive lumberjack calls “Plaidcast,” to discuss her upcoming childrens book, Paloma Wants to be Lady Freedom, the couple couldn’t resist talking about their newest child.
“My book is debuting in the fall and so is this baby. Book before baby,” she said.
“Rachel has been a great mom and we couldn’t be more delighted,” added Duffy.
She joked that her family was “helping to keep the human species going,” and building the GOP. The Latina added, “We’re also doing our part to bring in the Republican vote, hopefully, to keep these anti-socialist messages going and the Hispanic Republican vote, which you know we need to do that.”
Her husband said, “I think we own that now in Wisconsin. The Hispanic, conservative vote is driven by our family.”
