AOC wears $14K in designer clothes for Vanity Fair spread

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appeared in Vanity Fair’s December spread wearing outfits totaling more than $14,000 while blasting President Trump as a “motherf—-r” over how much he’s paid in taxes.

The Daily Mail reported on the price tags for each high-end outfit, including: a $1,000 Aliette silk suit, a $3,000 Carolina Herrera suit, an $815 polka dot Wales Bonner dress, a $2,500 Christopher John Rogers suit, $1,450 diamond, gold and floating pearl Mateo earrings, and a pair of $2,000 Bvlgari earrings.

The freshman congresswoman also donned a pair of $695 Christian Louboutin slingbacks.

She was gifted one outfit, a $2,850 suit from Spanish luxury fashion house Loewe.

When totaled, she wore $14,310 in outfits, according to the Daily Mail.

During the Vanity Fair interview, Ocasio-Cortez slammed Trump for “only paying $750 a year in taxes.”

“These are the same people saying that we can’t have tuition-free public colleges because there’s no money when these motherf—–s are only paying $750 a year in taxes,” she said in the interview.

She added to Vanity Fair that she works to put together fashionable outfits “without having a huge designer closet.”

“It’s legitimately hard being a first-generation woman … and being working class, trying to navigate a professional environment,” she said. “It continues to take me so long to try to figure out how to look put-together without having a huge designer closet.”

Ocasio-Cortez said on Twitter, after reports of her attire, that is was “worth it, would do again.”

The “squad” member revealed back in 2018 that she wears some apparel from a rental service called Rent the Runway.

“Since a friend got her a Rent the Runway subscription, she’s taken to ordering clothes on the go. Today, that’s a draped Helmut Lang blazer paired with a thrifted black jumpsuit, which she describes as “like pajamas but appropriate for politics,” Vogue said in a 2018 article.
