Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is in a good position to clinch more than 270 electoral votes and the White House, according to his team.
“This is moving to a conclusion — and moving to a conclusion in our favor,” a Biden campaign official told the Washington Examiner on Wednesday.

Strategists for the two-term vice president and 36-year Delaware senator were “confident” he had won Wisconsin and expect the state to be decided Wednesday morning, according to the aide.
“We will have an insurmountable VBM lead, and expect it to be called around midday,” the official said of Michigan, using an acronym for vote-by-mail. Democrats traditionally prefer to cast their ballots via mail compared to Republicans, and that trend wasn’t bucked this cycle.
The staffer added of Pennsylvania, specifically vote-rich Philadelphia, “We feel confident, and we expect Philly VBM to drop tonight or tomorrow.”
They also suggested Georgia results may be known as early as noon, depending on the Democratic stronghold of Fulton County, which captures Atlanta. Nevada will likely be called on Thursday, they said.
Biden holds narrow leads in Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin, with 90%, 86%, and 97% of precincts reporting, respectively. Meanwhile, Trump is ahead in Georgia and Pennsylvania, with 92% and 76% precincts reporting.
As of Tuesday morning, Biden has 238 electoral votes in his ledger. He can reach the required 270 threshold with Michigan and Wisconsin alone.
