Footage of Dallas plane crash released

Video footage showing the final moments of last month’s plane crash that killed all 10 passengers on board has been released.

The footage, obtained by WFAA8, is sourced from closed-circuit cameras and dashcams and was released through an open records request. The cameras show the twin-engine 2017 Beechcraft BE-350 King Air careening sideways, flipping upside down, and exploding after crashing into an empty hanger.

The plane had just attempted to take off from a municipal airport in Texas.

Two crew members, three sets of couples, and two teenagers who were heading to St. Petersburg, Florida died in the tragic crash.

The National Transportation Safety Board’s initial report said that in the final seconds before the crash, a crew member mentioned an issue with the plane’s left engine. However, the NTSB is continuing to investigate the exact cause of the accident.
