There was no bomb at CNN’s offices in Manhattan Thursday night despite a called-in threat, New York City police announced nearly two hours after the Time Warner Center was evacuated.
“The building has been reopened. The pedestrian freeze has been lifted & traffic on W 58th St. will be opened shortly,” the police department wrote on Twitter shortly before midnight.
UPDATE: Out of the abundance of caution, 25 Columbus Circle was evacuated. Members of NYPD ESU & SRG have completed a sweep of the building & deemed it safe. The building has been reopened. The pedestrian freeze has been lifted & traffic on W 58th St. will be opened shortly.

New York police said they responded to a call about a bomb threat at 10:07 p.m. EST. Police immediately responded to the scene near Columbus Circle and shut down roads around the Time Warner Cable building.
The cable network announced that it had evacuated at 10:30 p.m. EST because of a phoned bomb threat.
CNN sounded fire alarm bells. The network pulled “CNN Tonight” host Don Lemon off the air and went to taped programming.
The network later returned to live broadcasting from outside the building as police worked to determine if there was, in fact, a bomb inside.
