Andrew Giuliani, Rudy Giuliani’s son, lost his West Wing access pass despite being promoted by President Trump several months ago, according to a new report.
After dining together at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, Trump ordered that junior White House staffer Andrew Giuliani be promoted to special assistant to the president. Trump directed his body man, Jordan Karem, to ensure that White House chief of staff John Kelly followed through with the promotion, but nothing ever materialized, according to Axios.
Kelly reportedly stripped the younger Giuliani of his West Wing access about two weeks ago, leaving him with a “green pass,” meaning he must have an escort to enter the West Wing. It is unclear whether Trump is aware that his promotion order was not carried out.
Before becoming a junior White House staffer, Andrew Giuliani volunteered on the Trump campaign and has played golf with the president over the years.
“The president has been there for me, for the good times, but more importantly through the bad. That’s just the kind of man he is. I’m grateful that he’s always been willing to give me his advice on personal matters and I consider him to be my good friend and even a father figure. His family is my family,” Giuliani told Axios.
Rudy Giuliani, a former mayor of New York City, recently joined Trump’s personal legal team.
