Actor Bryan Cranston said President Trump is “not sane” and is now preoccupied with worrying about his supporters.

“I’ve stopped worrying about the president’s sanity. He’s not sane. And the realization of his illness doesn’t fill me with anger, but with profound sadness,” Cranston, of Breaking Bad fame, tweeted Saturday. “What I now worry about is the sanity of anyone who can still support this deeply troubled man to lead our country.”

Cranston is a vocal Trump critic but said in 2017 he hopes the president doesn’t fail.

“It would be egotistical for anyone to say, ‘I hope he fails,'” Cranston said. “To that person I would say, fuck you. Why would you want that? So you can be right?”

“President Trump is not the person who I wanted to be in that office and I’ve been very open about that,” he continued. “That being said, he is the president. If he fails, the country is in jeopardy.”
