Former Vice President Joe Biden asserted that he is “not going anywhere” as questions continue to swirl around his relationship with his son and potentially corrupt business dealings.
Biden responded to attacks from President Trump and Republicans on Wednesday night at a campaign rally in Reno, Nevada. Biden has suffered a number of attacks from Trump stemming from questions over Biden’s role in pushing Ukraine to fire it’s chief prosecutor in 2016.
“Let me make something clear to Trump and his hatchet men and the special interests funding his attacks against me: I’m not going anywhere,” Biden told a crowd of supporters. “You’re not going to destroy me. And you’re not going to destroy my family. I don’t care how much money you spend or how dirty the attacks get.”
Biden is a leading candidate in the Democratic primary to challenge Trump for president in 2020. His poll numbers have taken a hit recently, and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren is the first Democratic candidate to pass the former vice president in Iowa polling.
