Voters in 10 key battleground states support President Trump’s border closing during the coronavirus crisis to open jobs to unemployed people in America and block the importation of the virus, according to a new survey done for an immigration reform advocacy group.
In the poll for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, which opposes illegal immigration, voters by a margin of about 2 to 1 embraced the administration’s pause on immigration while U.S. unemployment surged during the pandemic.
