Rudy Giuliani: ‘The whole country will turn on’ the Mueller team if they go after Ivanka Trump

Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday he would “get on a charger” and head into special counsel Robert Mueller’s office with a “lance” if the Mueller’s team pursued President Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump.

Additionally, Giuliani told Fox News host Sean Hannity the U.S. would “turn” on Mueller if he went after the eldest first daughter and White House adviser as part of the federal inquiry into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians.

“Ivanka Trump? I think I would get on my charger and go ride into their offices with a lance, if they go after Ivanka,”Giuliani said. “Now if they do do Ivanka, which I don’t think they will, the whole country will turn on them. If they go after her, the whole country will turn on them. They’re going after his daughter?”

Giuliani was responding to a recent report from Politico, which made the case that Mueller would interview Ivanka Trump, but likely do so at the end in order to be as risk-averse as possible.

Ivanka Trump was with her father at pivotal moments being examined by Mueller’s team. For example, she was with President Trump in Bedminster, N.J., last year when he decided to fire then-FBI Director James Comey.

Her husband, Jared Kushner, has testified though before the special counsel’s team regarding a meeting he had Russian ambassador during the transition period. Addressing Kushner, Giuliani said he is a “fine man,” but added with a chuckle, “men are disposable.”
