Arlington National Cemetery was evacuated on Wednesday after a bomb threat at the Virginia facility.
“All families, visitors and employees have been evacuated safely from all public buildings and work areas while the threat is being investigated,” the cemetery’s Twitter account wrote.

As of midday, the cemetery said it would be closed to the general public for the rest of the day, but continue conducting funeral services.

No other details were immediately available.
The cemetery sits across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. More than 400,000 active duty service members, veterans, and their family members have been laid to rest at the site, according to its website.
