Fox News’s prime-time stars powered the network to have its highest-rated November ever.
“FOX News Channel (FNC) finished the month of November as the most-watched cable network in both total day and primetime total viewers (Persons 2+), notching 53 months in a row in the top spot across all of basic cable in total day,” a press release said.
Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity both broke records in ratings last month, while Laura Ingraham continued besting other female cable news hosts, holding onto her title as the highest-rated female host in cable news.
Tucker Carlson Tonight averaged 5.1 million viewers and became the only news show to ever have consecutive months averaging over 5 million viewers.
Hannity averaged 5 million viewers and came in the top spot among the coveted 25-54 age demographic, averaging 1 million viewers.
The Ingraham Angle earned Ingraham the top spot among female cable news competitors again, beating out MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.
“Additionally, FNC’s entire primetime lineup remains up double-digits year over year, with Tucker Carlson Tonight seeing increases of 49 percent with total viewers and 85 percent with A25-54, Hannity up 39 percent in total viewers and 89 percent with A25-54, and The Ingraham Angle experiencing a 34 percent increase with total viewers and 80 percent with A25-54,” Fox News said in a press release.
The news comes after President Trump has touted competitors Newsmax and OANN on social media following the 2020 presidential election.
The president additionally slammed Fox News over the weekend, calling it “virtually unwatchable” during the day.
“.@FoxNews daytime is virtually unwatchable, especially during the weekends. Watch @OANN, @newsmax, or almost anything else. You won’t have to suffer through endless interviews with Democrats, and even worse!” he tweeted Saturday.

Newsmax has grown its viewership since the election. The network averaged 58,000 viewers from 7 to 10 p.m. on weekdays from July to before the election and jumped to 568,000 average viewers after the election.
“They don’t know what to do with all of us,” Newsmax television personality Grant Stinchfield said in November. “We’re killing it here on Newsmax with a tactic they’ve never tried. It’s called the truth, the stone-cold truth, and once you get a taste of it, you will never tolerate being lied to again.”
