The Hill announced Wednesday the publication is nixing its annual “50 Most Beautiful” list after a 15-year run.
“It’s been a great run, but all things must come to an end,” The Hill editor-in-chief Bob Cusack said. “Rest in peace.”
The annual summertime list has become a highlight in Washington culture, even making its way into a 2016 episode of HBO’s comedy “Veep.” The production crew even reached out to The Hill to ensure accuracy when recreating a fictional list.
The list features lawmakers, journalists, congressional staffers, lobbyists, and later expanded in 2010 to the White House, Cabinet departments, and executive agencies.
Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, expressed his disappointment on Twitter Wednesday morning that the 15-year tradition is coming to an end.
“You wake up early every day to comb your hair and pick out the brightest shirt/tie combo with your strongest pinstripe suit thinking this is going to be the year.. then this happens,” Hatch tweeted in regards to the Hill’s announcement.

No reason was given for the decision.
The Hill thanked everyone for the hundreds of nominations the outlet received each year.
