Kid Rock tells crowd at Trump rally to ‘hit record’ because ‘fake media’ will say it didn’t happen

Michigan musician Kid Rock performed at a Trump campaign rally in metro Detroit Monday and took aim at the “fake” news media and Democrats between playing sets of “Born Free” and “All Summer Long.”

“You should probably hit record on your phone right now, because goddamn fake media will say it didn’t happen,” Kid Rock told the crowd as he took the stage.

The event took on a patriotic theme, with Kid Rock performing in front of a giant American flag.

“Do you believe? Do you still believe that you live in the greatest country in the world?” Kid Rock shouted to the crowd, which roared back in approval.

The musician also took aim at Democrats, saying he wants to see all Americans do well.

“I want to see everybody do well in the country, everybody, but I don’t believe you make the poor rich by making the rich poor,” Kid Rock said.

At one point, Kid Rock pointed out the event was a bit different from a typical concert.

“I’m not making excuses, but things got a little different tonight, right?” he asked the crowd. “Well. Cover the kids’ ears but, I started out with no fucks, and I still ain’t got one.”

The event was also headlined by Donald Trump Jr., who urged Michigan’s working-class voters to abandon the Democratic Party.

“This is not your grandparent’s Democrat Party,” Trump Jr. said. “This party doesn’t represent working-class Americans anymore. It doesn’t even represent decent Americans anymore!”
