A conservative nonprofit organization is alleging that election workers in Detroit facilitated the fraud of “tens of thousands” of ballots in Michigan.
In a lawsuit filed by The Great Lakes Justice Center, the group recounts eyewitness testimony from poll workers who say “approximately 40,000” unsecured ballots from suspicious vehicles arrived at Detroit’s lone vote-counting facility. Every single one of those 40,000 ballots, the group says, were “counted orally and attributed only to Democratic candidates.”
“After poll challengers started discovering the fraud taking place at the TCF Center, Defendant election officials and workers locked credentialed challengers out of the counting room so they could not observe the process, during which time tens of thousands of ballots were processed,” the complaint reads.
The Trump campaign filed its own lawsuit in the state, alleging similar problems and asked courts to stop Michigan from certifying its election results until a comprehensive review of the state’s voting process is reviewed. According to that filing, numerous Republican poll watchers in Wayne County were harassed and excluded from the absentee ballot counting process. The campaign also wishes to review the technology of a vote-counting machine that erroneously gave 6,000 votes to President-elect Joe Biden instead of President Trump after a user error.
