This particular tool on the community site enables searches of several years of traffic tickets and arrests by the Fairfax County Police Department. You can query by name, city, date or offense.

That’s not surprising, given that you can unearth such fun facts as: Redskins running back Clinton Portis got ticketed for going 75-79 in a 55 mph zone late last year.
Top White House aide Ed Gillespie got hit for a license plate violation in 2005 and going 45-49 in a 30 mph zone in January. Sen. John Sununu, R-N.H., was written up for disregarding traffic lights in April, and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., was ticketed for going 75-79 in a 60 mph zone in 2005.

Good thing they didn’t get hit with those tickets after July. If they had, they might have been subject to the much-maligned abusive-driver fees enacted by the Virginia General Assembly on July 1.
