Arlington-based CACI International has continued its expansion plans, announcing Thursday the purchase of Vienna-based consultant Wexford Group International.
This follows the announcement two weeks ago of plans to acquire the Institute for Quality Management, an information technology consulting firm based in Fairfax. The sales price of the institute, which has $20 million in annual revenue, was not released.

CACI, which provides Internet technology and software consulting services to the federal government, also did not release the sales price for the Wexford Group. However, the acquisition of the group, which had annual revenues last year of $100 million, signals CACI’s intention to continue its growth into one of the larger government consultancies in the region, company officials said.
“As [Wexford] join our team of dedicated professionals, they will bring seasoned expertise in business, government and the military, with proven skills in leadership and management,” said Paul Cofoni, president of CACI’s U.S. operations. “Their acquisition will provide CACI with greater capabilities to offer our clients in the key defense market, and will give us a client base that both complements and expands our own.”
Wexford has nearly 200 employees and numerous federal clients, including the Pentagon. The sale is expected to be completed in mid-2008.
