Apparently, Russia does have a sense of humor.
During the closing ceremonies of the Sochi Olympics, Russia decided to poke some fun at the famous blunder of the opening ceremony, wherein one of the five olympic rings didn’t open correctly, leaving four Olympic rings and a snowflake.
The mistake garnered criticism and mocking from around the world, being just the first of numerous pitfalls including busted doors, pink eye and lost puppies.
At the beginning of the closing celebration on Sunday, a group of dancers converged to form the Olympic rings — but only four were actual rings, with one group of dancers remaining in a snowflake shape.
The dancers held the snafu for the appropriate amount of time, just until they broke out into the fifth Olympic ring.
Finally, Russia did something right.
