Thomas, formerly the executive director of Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council, has been named to the same position with the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities. He replaces outgoing interim director Ayris Scales. Before the Prince George’s County job, Thomas spent 22 years with the D.C. commission in several capacities, eventually serving as the deputy director and interim director. “I am delighted to be returning home,” said Thomas, a native of the District.
