The 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing continues to be celebrated across the country, with each state honoring the giant leap for mankind in its own special way.

In Ohio, butter is the chosen medium for commemoration.
At the ceremony to the open of the 166th state fair, Republican Gov. Mike DeWine conducted a ribbon-cutting and proceeded touring the fairgrounds.
One of the highlights of the tour this year was the annual butter display.
This year, the buttery art features Neil Armstrong saluting the freshly planted flag in his full space suit. Next to this, a scene depicts Buzz Aldrin, Mike Collins, and Armstrong seated in their spacesuits without their helmets, as if posing for a photo. The display also includes the Apollo 11 emblem.
Armstrong was an Ohio native, born in the small town of Wapakoneta, about 56 miles north of Dayton.
