Biden Professes Love for Boehner

Vice President Joe Biden declared his love for former speaker of the House John Boehner Monday during a commencement ceremony at the University of Notre Dame.

“Let’s get something straight right off the bat. I don’t like John Boehner,” Biden said. “I love him.”

Biden and Boehner both received the university’s Laetare Medal, described as “the oldest and most prestigious honor given to American Catholics.”

The two have been caught palling around during President Barack Obama’s State of the Union addresses throughout the years. Biden has been snapped fixing Boehner’s tie, holding him close, laughing with him, and whispering in his ear.

In addition to being the recipient of Biden’s affection, Boehner shares a bromance with Obama himself. In a video shown at the White House Correspondents Dinner in April, the two were shown strolling side-by-side in aviator sunglasses and discussing the lavish post-political life.
