Lafourche considers changes in garbage collection

THIBODAUX, La. (AP) — Lafourche Parish plans to evaluate its trash collection contract that expires at the end of the year.

The Daily Comet reports (http://bit.ly/1l6Xxhe ) a committee is going to consider reducing the roughly $500,000 monthly cost without cutting services, renewing the same contract or finding an alternative.
