MSNBC Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough dismissed the upcoming book that’s scheduled to be released later this month that’s being written by “a senior Trump administration official.”
This author is the anonymous Trump official who published an opinion piece in the New York Times last year, claiming that there is a group of administration officials working against Trump’s interest and agenda.
Scarborough appeared unimpressed with the book, titled A Warning, and the official who’s writing it anonymously and addressed it on a brief tangent from a conversation about former Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, who recently announced a run for Senate.
“Who cares what they say behind the scenes?” Scarborough said on Friday morning of Republican senators who have privately criticized the president. “Same with that anonymous book. Seriously? Who cares?!”
“We know that he’s been acting like a crazy man inside the White House,” Scarborough said. “Question is: When are you going to affix your name to those charges, and what are you going to do about it?”
In an excerpt that has already been released, the author alleges that Vice President Mike Pence was on board with a plan to remove the president from office via the 25th Amendment, a point that has since been refuted by his representative.
The author also compared the president to “a twelve-year-old in an air traffic control tower” who is “pushing the buttons of government indiscriminately, indifferent to the planes skidding across the runway and the flights frantically diverting away from the airport.”
