A D.C. Council retreat erupted Tuesday afternoon with curses and shouting.
After Ward 8 Councilman Marion Barry asked a question about United Medical Center, At-Large Councilman David Catania grew visibly angry.
“F you, Marion,” Catania shouted at Barry as other council members tried to intervene. “You are such a despicable human being.”
The retreat has since moved to a discussion about 2011 legislative accomplishments.
