Rudy Giuliani alleges Joe Biden tried to bribe Ukrainian president to fire prosecutor

President Trump’s personal attorney accused Joe Biden of bribing the president of Ukraine so he would “fire a prosecutor who is investigating the vice president’s son.”

Rudy Giuliani, who appears to have been tasked by the president to encourage Ukrainian officials to open an investigation into the former vice president and his son, is at the center of the House’s impeachment investigation. The House is investigating whether or not the president used the power of the presidency to help his reelection campaign.

Giuliani made the new claim that Biden attempted to bribe then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko during his interview with Eric Bolling on America This Week. The episode, which was obtained by Mediaite, is scheduled to air on Friday night.

“The reality is the president is confronting Ukraine correctly. The country has a big problem with corruption,” the former New York City mayor stated.

“You know the big thing in Ukraine about Biden?” Giuliani asked. “How he corrupted the United States of America. Just step back for a moment from this political garbage and consider how horrible it is that a vice president of the United States bribed the president of a foreign country in order to fire a prosecutor who is investigating the vice president’s son, and every single person in Ukraine knows it.”

Giuliani, Lev Parnas, and Igor Fruman, the latter two have been arrested in connection to their actions in Ukraine, all met with Poroshenko and Ukrainian general prosecutor Yuriy Lutsenko. Lutsenko, who was fired back in August and is the lawyer Giuliani was referencing, claimed he told Giuliani that Biden’s position with Burisma Holdings while his father was the vice president could be a conflict of interest but was not illegal.
