Police are struggling to come up with leads on an early January attempted bank heist in Prince George’s County. A man posed as a customer at the Bank of America in the 3600 block of Bladensburg Road not far from the D.C. line at around 1:50 p.m. on Jan. 6 before handing a teller a note demanding cash. The teller hit the hold-up alarm, scaring the victim away before he was able to take any money.
The suspect is a slim black male just under 6 feet who is estimated at 20 years old. He was last seen on video surveillance wearing a fully zipped black-and-gray hooded North Face jacket, black gloves, rolled jeans and black shoes.
Police said they don’t believe the suspect is tied to any other robberies or crimes under investigation. There have been no similar crimes in the area recently, according to police.
