A University of Alabama student slipped in a remark about dead millionaire and child predator Jeffrey Epstein while being interviewed live on MSNBC.
Monica Alba, a network reporter, was interviewing students at the University of Alabama-Louisiana State University football game on Saturday. She asked a group of Alabama students what they thought of President Trump, his decision to attend the game, and how they expected the crowd to react.
“Why do you like him so much and what policies stand out to you?” she asked a male student named Parker, who was wearing a Trump pin.
“I would say mainly just the no-nonsense policies and especially since Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself,” he responded. “That’s awesome. Just totally perfect.”
The antic marked the second time in a week that a guest on a cable television network promoted the Epstein conspiracy theory.
Mike Ritland, a former Navy SEAL, made the same claim during the end of his appearance on Fox News’s Watters World. Right as he was ending a public service announcement about hero military dogs, he said, “And Epstein didn’t kill himself.” Watters chuckled and then added, “OK, thank you for that commentary.”
The speculation surrounding Epstein’s death comes after the multimillionaire sexual predator was found dead in his New York prison cell. The New York City chief medical examiner ruled his death a suicide but others don’t believe that to be the case.
Dr. Michael Baden, a veteran medical examiner, claimed that an independent autopsy showed his death was more consistent with “homicidal strangulation” than suicide, but the city’s medical examiner stands by her conclusion.
