A case of buyer’s remorse? The Billings Gazette published a public apology on Friday for their endorsement of Barack Obama during the 2008 election.
“Sometimes, you have to admit you’re wrong,” the editorial began. “And, we were wrong.”
The Gazette proceeded to list eight key mistakes the Obama administration has made, further providing proof of their incorrect endorsement. The Bowe Bergdahl exchange, VA scandal, and current situation in Iraq are all used as examples of Obama’s trend of incompetence.
“It’s the number of bungled or blown policies in the Obama administration which leads us to believe Obama has earned every bit of an abysmal approval rating,” The Gazette stated.
The latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll revealed Obama’s approval rating of only 41 percent, matching a previous low. A Gallup poll released Monday found that only 29 percent of Americans felt confident in Obama’s ability to lead the country.
The Gazette closes their public display of crow-eating by sharing their frustration with a president who is “hopelessly short on action.”
“Obama’s hope and change have left liberals and conservatives alike hoping for real change, not just more lofty rhetoric.”
