A Falls Church man was killed after he fell in a parking lot at the Bailey’s Crossroads Shopping Center, Fairfax County police said.
Police said Danny R. Sullivan, 55, was walking with a cane and fell as he tried to step onto a curb at about 6 p.m. Thursday. Sullivan lost his balance and was struck by a Ford truck. He was pronounced dead at the mall.

The truck’s driver, a 52-year-old man whose name was not released, stopped and remained at the scene, police said. Police said speed and alcohol weren’t involved and no charges are expected against the driver.
