LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Heavy rain in West Texas is causing flooding in several counties where authorities are urging drivers to stay off the roads.
National Weather Service meteorologist Jeff Ciccone in Midland says there’s been flash flooding in the northern Permian Basin and a large portion of West Texas, as well as in Eddie and Lee counties in southeastern New Mexico. Weather officials expect more flooding through Sunday.
