Congratulations, liberals! You’re making people defend Tomi Lahren

Over the weekend, Fox News contributor and conservative commentator Tomi Lahren was confronted at a restaurant in Minneapolis, Minn., where one patron took their drink of water and threw it at her.

The altercation occurred when Lahren was eating with her mother in a now viral video.

In an obvious attempt to try to shame the conservative commentator, Lahren is now getting support from all across Twitter, notably from Kathy Griffin.

Congratulations, liberals! You did the impossible. You’re making people who loathe Lahren defend her.

It should seem pretty obvious that there are some individuals who take politics so personally that they can’t mentally handle it when they come across someone they disagree with politically. It’s a personal character problem, because it appears they literally can’t control their actions and behave like civilized adults.

First lady Michelle Obama said at the 2016 Democratic National Convention, “When they go low, we go high.” That mantra is certainly out the window here.

It should be noted that Lahren doesn’t have many friends in the conservative movement either after she revealed that she was pro-choice during an interview with “The View” in May 2017. Because of that interview, Lahren lost her show and then her job with The Blaze.

And I’ll admit, I’ve given Lahren her fair share of criticism. Earlier this year, I wrote how she shouldn’t ever listen to rap music, considering how she built up her brand by being disrespectful to the culture that created hip-hop.

In this case, though, I can’t help but cut her some slack. Despite her ability to be mad at everything, I’ll be mad for her at the people who accosted her in Minneapolis. It’s wrong. And in addition to that, it also only helps amplify Lahren’s voice. After all, I’m writing about her right now.

In the eyes of liberals, throwing water at Lahren might be considered payback for her politics. But to Lahren, it’s a gift.

Be ready for her “thank you” card.
