Trump goes on retweet rampage in response to Biden firefighters union endorsement

President Trump shared a deluge of tweets Wednesday morning in an apparent effort to invalidate an endorsement this week of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden by a major firefighters union.

The president retweeted dozens of posts from purported firefighters and friends and family members of firefighters saying they supported Trump over the former vice president.

“I’ve done more for Firefighters than this dues sucking union will ever do, and I get paid ZERO!” Trump wrote of the International Association of Fire Fighters, kicking off the nearly 60-retweet rampage.

Those he retweeted declared their support for him and questioned the motives behind the union’s endorsement of Biden.

Biden won the group’s endorsement Monday, days after he announced he’d join the growing field of 2020 Democratic candidates.

After the endorsement, Trump claimed the rank and file members actually supported him over Biden.
