Jemele Hill is resentful and jealous of white men

Jemele Hill has somehow managed to make a career out of complaining and whining about white people and perceived acts of racism in the country, particularly alleged acts of racism in the 21st century. Most of it, if not all of it, is hyperbolic hysteria predicated on an adherence to a core tenet of radical left-wing politics: claiming to be perpetually victimized and aggrieved. But Hill arguably outdid herself recently when her latest act of being shocked and appalled involved a seething rage over children wanting to get a haircut similar to the style of NFL superstar Travis Kelce.

“The NYT thinks that Travis Kelce invented the fade,” Hill posted on X. “When you have zero cultural competency on your staff, this is how you end up with stories like this.”

Her resentment was in response to a New York Times article about a recent trend of people around the country requesting to get the same haircut as Kelce. Somehow, this translated into Hill thinking that the publication thought, “Travis Kelce invented the fade.” Despite the article never claiming this, Hill pushed yet another victimization narrative and inserted race into something that had nothing to do with race. Like “sands through the hourglass,” Jemele Hill was once again aggrieved.

Consider a barber quoted in the New York Times article regarding the haircut. Nothing was mentioned of race or Kelce inventing the haircut.

“Mr. Kelce’s hairstyle, a buzz cut fade, is easy to replicate. ‘It’s basically zero on the side until you get to the top,’ a barber quoted in the New York Times article said. ‘It’s a fun, easy haircut that I can do in a quick 20 minutes.’”

It’s time to admit an ugly truth: Hill is resentful and jealous of white men. Her fury existed for one reason and one reason only: because the article featured a popular hairstyle of a white male celebrity. If Kelce had been a black man, Hill would not have mentioned anything. But the implication that a hairstyle, that has been around for at least a century, was a popular request because of a white male was too much for Hill. So, she turned a fluff piece in the New York Times into the latest faux outrage claim by the perpetually aggrieved Left.

This is delusional and must be called out as such. Furthermore, it’s indicative of the bigotry that is at the rotten core of many contemporary left-wing political commentators. Solely because Hill believes that black men either invented the fade or were responsible for its popularity, it became the latest delusional act of her misguided sense of social justice. The recent interest in Kelce’s hairstyle had nothing to do with race until Hill read it and felt compelled to transform her jealousy and resentment toward white people into a social media post.

It is problematic and indicative of many contemporary sociopolitical problems or grievances radical left-wingers claim. Most of them, if not all of them, are illegitimate, phony, made-up nonsense. Such “grievances” create anger and resentment over something that warrants neither anger nor resentment. It’s (unhinged) political and cultural activism that is not grounded in reality. And because it is fashionable to insinuate racism over anything (and make disparaging comments about white people) nowadays, performative activists such as Hill can make such delusional claims without suffering any accountability.

But enough is enough. It is long past time to start denouncing this kind of hogwash instead of acting as if it is some insightful and valid commentary about racial problems plaguing society. They are unhinged rants fueled by jealousy and resentment against white men. Such comments as Hill’s should be considered relics of a bygone era. They belong in a museum on a display of ignorance.
