“If you’d find it hard to support our content breadth, Netflix may not be the best place for you,” the memo said.
On Sunday, Musk took to Twitter to commend the memo.
“Good move by @netflix,” Musk tweeted.
Others also commented on the Netflix memo.
“I’m sure they still want to be woke deep down inside, but they came to the realization that wokeness equals brokeness when tons unsubscribed and the stock tanked,” one Twitter user wrote.
Human rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali added, “Common sense is coming back to Netflix.”
Businessman and political commentator Vivek Ramaswamy called the move representative of companies being forced to return to “excellence over politics.”
Journalist Rita Panahi also tweeted, “DeSantis standing up to Disney (& the media’s) lies about Florida’s parental rights bill is having all sorts of positive consequences.”
