A U.S. Navy pilot was wounded on Monday after two jets collided over Ricardo, Texas, in a training accident.
One operator safely landed at the Naval Air Station in Kingsville, while the other was forced to eject from the plane near Ricardo. The injured service member was taken to a local hospital with minor wounds.
Both of the pilots were controlling T-45 Goshawk training jets, and neither has been named.

“The incident is currently under investigation and the U.S. Navy is cooperating fully with local authorities,” the chief of Naval air training wrote in a Facebook post.
Residents in the area have been instructed to report fallen aircraft debris to the appropriate authorities. They have also been asked not to “move or touch” any rubble.

The chief of Naval air training’s public affairs division did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Washington Examiner.
