A Missouri hiker is in serious condition after being shot in the chest by a hunter who mistook him for a wild turkey over the weekend.

St. Charles County police responded to calls that a man had been shot around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Rescue crews used a utility-task vehicle to reach the man, who was transported to an area hospital by helicopter, according to KSDK.
