Can a 6-year-old be “born evil” because she’s white?
That’s what a Loudoun County, Virginia, mother claimed her elementary school daughter asked her after hearing a particular history lesson. The county is embroiled in school board meetings over concerns about critical race theory.
“My 6-year-old somberly came to me and asked if she was born evil because she was a white person — something she learned in a history lesson at school,” the mother said.

Critical race theory and other closely related ideologies hold that the United States is inherently racist and that skin color is used to create and maintain social, economic, and political inequalities between whites and nonwhites. Critics claim it relegates all white people to the role of oppressors and all people of color to that of victims.
The Loudoun County mother’s daughter asked about inherent racism due to whiteness during the spring 2020 semester. Her children since moved to private school and are thriving, she said.

“Now you’ve covered up a rape, then arrested, humiliated, and falsely accused parents of being domestic terrorists,” she added. “I wish I could return my kids to LCPS — private school’s expensive, and I want my kids to be able to walk home from school with their friends in their own community.”
“You all should be ashamed and should have the moral courage to admit you’re wrong and step down.”
