Ghislaine Maxwell, the associate of disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, will be the subject of another documentary series premiering on select streaming platforms.
Epstein’s Shadow: Ghislaine Maxwell, produced by Blue Ant Studios, will debut on NBCUniversal’s Peacock on June 24 and will look at the British socialite who has been accused of aiding Epstein’s alleged underage sex trafficking network. Maxwell faces charges of transporting a minor for the purposes of criminal sexual activity and conspiring to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts.
The documentary will be a three-part series and will showcase several interviews and include previously unseen footage and photos of Maxwell’s family, according to Variety.
Maxwell is also set to be the subject of a docuseries set to premiere on Discovery+ later this year.

Maxwell, 59, is slated to appear in Manhattan Federal Court for the start of her criminal trial on Nov. 29. A July 12 trial date was postponed after defense lawyers complained that sex-trafficking charges added in March did not provide sufficient time to investigate and prepare.
“With our partners Blue Ant Studios, we’ve created a compelling and premium investigative documentary series that will serve as a comprehensive deep-dive prior to the long-awaited trial in November 2021,” said Rod Aissa, NBCUniversal’s executive vice president of unscripted content.
Maxwell was arrested in July 2020 and was charged in Manhattan federal court with conspiring with Epstein to recruit, groom, and sexually abuse underage girls, as well as perjury.
The British socialite pleaded not guilty to the charges against her, and she remains incarcerated despite multiple bail requests from her attorneys.
Epstein, a registered sex offender, was arrested in July 2019 on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges for allegedly abusing girls as young as 14. He pleaded not guilty to the charges before he was found dead in his Manhattan prison cell that August. The New York City Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Epstein’s death a suicide.
