Cuomo too busy for Trump inauguration, but booked 200 rooms for Clinton

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo told reporters Wednesday that he won’t be going to President-elect Trump’s inauguration because New Yorkers expect him to be working in Albany.

“I get paid to work in New York and I’ll be working in New York,” Cuomo said following a meeting with Trump Wednesday.

But, the Democrat sang a different tune before the election. According to reports from last month, Cuomo booked more than 200 hotel rooms in Washington, D.C., for this week in anticipation of Hillary Clinton winning the election.

Cuomo also appeared multiple times on the campaign trail with Clinton and was one of her top supporters.

The New York Post reported Cuomo offered the hotel rooms to the chairman of New York’s Republican Party.
