A man was arrested Monday after he drove his vehicle into the security gates of the Federal Bureau of Investigation office outside of Atlanta, Georgia.
Dekalb County police have taken the driver of the red SUV into custody but have not yet disclosed the driver’s identity, according to Fox 5 Atlanta. No one was injured, police confirmed to the outlet.
FBI Atlanta reportedly said the suspect left the car on foot and tried to enter the facility once the vehicle stopped.
The man was stopped after trying to follow an authorized vehicle through the gate, and two other agents who were leaving at the time were reportedly able to detain him.
“We can confirm a person rammed into FBI Atlanta’s front gate shortly after noon today. The suspect was taken into custody by Dekalb Police. There are no injuries and agents are checking the car as a precaution. We don’t have any further information at this time,” FBI Atlanta told Newsweek in a statement, adding that there is “no clear motive” for the crash.

Video of the crash shows the red SUV crumpled into the barrier with law enforcement vehicles both in front of and behind it.
Agents and bomb techs checked the man’s vehicle, which is standard protocol. The FBI said it was considering both state and federal charges against the suspect.
