The new Netflix show “Bill Nye Saves the World” includes episode after episode of social justice warrior-approved messages mixed with liberal politics and sold to the public by a beloved figure from the 90s.
I guess since Bob Ross and Shari Lewis are deceased, progressives had to turn to Nye.
On one episode, Nye tackles cultural appropriation and how white people are ruining so many things.
Comedian Prashanth Venkataramanujam started a rant about how he hates alternative medicine because white people have started to embrace them and tied them into other features of Indian culture. He featured images of sound therapist David Gibson’s office, where random Hindu and Buddhist statues are placed in various locations.
“Sound therapy has nothing to do with Buddhism or Hinduism,” Venkataramanujam said. “This happens a lot, so I’m just going to come out and say it. White people, I love you but stop using Asian wallpaper for street cred.”
“Half-nonsense and half Indian was the oldest trick in the book, it’s called the Deepak Chopra,” the comedian joked to a white audience.
After ending the rant on alternative medicine, Venkataramanujam then slammed white people for doing yoga.
“Look what they’ve done to yoga,” he continued. “Yoga was badass, yoga was actually good for you, but white people got their Lululemon hands on it and turned it into the smooth jazz of the fitness world.”
“Put the Ganesh statues back into storage and just go back to telling me how much you love samosas.”
