Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) predicted Sunday that the moderators of the presidential debates will play “interference” for President Joe Biden, who is seeking reelection this November.

Scott’s comment comes a few days after the president and former President Donald Trump, the presumptive nominee for the Republican Party, have agreed to a pair of debates, with the first one scheduled for next month. The South Carolina senator claimed that Biden is “so afraid of debating” with Trump.
