There’s a clamoring in the blogosphere for the McCain campaign to go after Obama and the Democrats for their successful efforts to block reform of Fannie and Freddie. Mary Katharine wrote about it here, and others are hopeful that McCain will make it a central theme of his campaign. But regardless of whether McCain decides to take up the issue that seems tailor made to close the gap on Obama, others are taking it up for him. I saw the following ad tonight on CNN, during Lou Dobbs: I can’t find any stories indicating how big this buy is, but my notes from a conference call on RightChange.com indicate that the organization was likely to spend ‘in the double digit millions’ during the closing weeks of this cycle. That’s enough paid media to impact the race. And it looks like this spot is not the only one that Right Change is running on Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac.
