As early voting has started in several key battleground states, numbers show voters appear eager to cast their ballots this election.
Michigan has seen the highest early voting turnout with Georgia in a close second. In Michigan, 15.5% of voters have already cast their ballot, 12.4% of voters in Georgia have cast their ballot, 9.1% in Pennsylvania, 8.6% in Wisconsin, and 2.3% in Arizona, according to the University of Florida’s Election Lab’s early voter tracker.
In North Carolina, 1.2% have cast their ballot so far, but early voting just began in the state on Thursday. Nevada is reporting that 0.8% of voters have voted early so far, but that number is likely lower than reality as Clark County, Nevada’s most populous county and home to Las Vegas, has not reported its numbers.
Nationwide, 8,252,260 people have already cast their ballot as of noon Eastern time on Thursday.
