Harris is using dating game-style video ads to tap into young voters’ fear of rejection in a push to get them to vote.
These digital ads are running on Snapchat and Instagram.
In one ad, a group of six women are holding balloons and interviewing a man, asking questions about his height, job, and salary. At any point, the women can pop the balloon to indicate they are no longer interested in him.
The man they meet is named Trey, who is 6-foot-5 and makes six figures working in finance.
Then one woman asks, “Do you have a plan to vote?”
“Uh, I didn’t plan on it,” the man says before all the women in front of him pop their balloons.
“Don’t get popped,” the text on the screen reads at the end of the ad.
