Hillary Clinton is now officially Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential rival, and he took notice of that Friday morning.
In a series of tweets Friday morning, roughly 12 hours after Clinton accepted the Democratic presidential nomination, Trump criticized both her and her speech.
First, he called her Thursday night remarks “average.”
“The media coverage this morning of the very average Clinton speech and Convention is a joke. @CNN and the little watched @Morning_Joe = SAD!” he wrote in a tweet.

Moments later he called Clinton by his nickname for her as he often does, “Crooked Hillary.”
“Crooked Hillary Clinton made up facts about me, and ‘forgot’ to mention the many problems of our country, in her very average scream!” he said of her tone in her remarks.

Aside from taking aim at Clinton, the Republican presidential nominee also used one of his new favorite campaign lines, “law and order.”
“Two policemen just shot in San Diego, one dead. It is only getting worse. People want LAW AND ORDER!” he said in a new tweet, mentioning three words that he used intensely during his own nomination speech.
Details of the shooting are still mostly unknown, but one San Diego police officer was killed Thursday night, and another was seriously hurt.
Trump also retweeted a tweet from conservative talking head Ann Coulter, which referred to a line from Clinton’s speech in which she said, “I believe in science.”
That’s Democratic code for “we’re shutting down coal mines, steel plants and any other remaining manufacturing,” Trump wrote in a tweet.
