Harris said on Sunday that she has cast her mail-in ballot.

Harris is registered to vote in California. Her campaign released a video of the vice president holding up her ballot and encouraging people to make plans to vote.

“My ballot is on its way to California, and I’m going to trust the system that it will arrive there,” Harris told reporters on Sunday.

Harris was asked by a reporter how she voted on Proposition 36, which would impose stricter penalties for retail theft and crimes involving fentanyl. Harris, a former prosecutor, dodged the question about whether she voted for the proposition.

“I am not gonna talk about the vote on that because, honestly, it’s the Sunday before the election, and I don’t intend to create an endorsement one way or another around it,” she responded.
