Venezuela strikes new defense and energy agreements with Russia

Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro and Russian President Vladimir Putin came to terms on Thursday to strengthen their alliance and forge a pact to solidify intelligence-gathering and counterespionage efforts. 

Additionally, Venezuela and Russia came to an energy cooperation agreement.
