Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) predicted members of the media will utilize photos of children being separated from their families in an attempt to deter President-elect Donald Trump‘s plans to deport illegal immigrants.

Trump has pushed for mass deportations of illegal immigrants as part of his presidential priorities, saying it will be one of the actions he seeks to carry out on his first day in office. Luna noted how she and her fellow Republican lawmakers have sought to secure the border over the last two years, but such efforts have been hindered by “the Washington bureaucrats” who have blocked these moves.
